Ingredients of Thai Salad with Shrimp and Fried Rice Noodles

  1. You need of Sauce.
  2. You need 1 tablespoon of Sriracha.
  3. It’s 2 tablespoons of fish sauce.
  4. Make ready 1/4 cup of soy sauce.
  5. Make ready 1 tablespoon of molasses.
  6. It’s 1/4 cup of lime juice- 3 small limes.
  7. It’s 1/4 cup of seasoned rice wine vinegar.
  8. Make ready 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  9. Make ready 2 ounces of sesame oil.
  10. Make ready 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  11. Take 1/4 cup of sweet onion – Paper thin sliced.
  12. You need 3 of each garlic cloves – chopped.
  13. You need 1 tablespoon of lemon grass – ultra fine chopped.
  14. It’s 2 tablespoons of ginger root – peeled and minced.
  15. Take 8 ounces of shrimp – finely chopped.
  16. You need 1 of each egg white – mix with chopped shrimp.
  17. Make ready 1/4 cup of sauce base.

  19. You need 1 of each red bell pepper – 1" fine julienne.
  20. Take 1 of each carrots – 1" fine julienne.
  21. It’s 8 ounces of napa cabbage – fine chiffionade.
  22. Make ready 2 tablespoons of basil – chiffonade.
  23. You need 2 tablespoons of mint – chiffonade.
  24. Take 2 tablespoons of cilantro – lightly chopped.
  25. Make ready 1/2 package of rice noodles (fried @400).
  26. Make ready 2 of each limes zest with a micro-plane or finely chopped zest.

Thai Salad with Shrimp and Fried Rice Noodles step by step

  1. Whisk together first 8 ingredients in a bowl. Taste and adjust for acidity, sweetness and heat. Set aside.
  2. In a non stick saute pan, heat oil and saute onion, lemon grass, ginger and garlic until evenly colored to a light golden brown..
  3. Stir in shrimp mixture cook through out adding 1/4 cup of the sauce and coking for 1 minute then remove from that heat..
  4. Combine peppers, carrots, herbs,nappa cabbage and fried noodles in salad bowl.
  5. Toss in warm shrimp with lime zest and extra sauce as needed..
  6. Toss to mix thoroughly and quickly and serve.
